Dwayne S. Pruitt Dwayne Steven Pruitt, 21, died Jan. 17, 2008, at his home in North Pole where he resided with his mother. Born in Fairbanks, he was the son of Larry and Gwen Pruitt.

Dwayne was born with a handicap, but he never let it slow him down. He was very active with the Special Olympics, and made many friends while involved with that organization. He was a very friendly and loving person, with a smile and a good word for everyone he met, and was loved by many people in the community
