Hannah Marie Wheaton, originally of Juneau, died on Jan. 23, 2008, in Portland, Ore. She was 39.

Born Nov. 8, 1968, in Juneau, to Harold Wheaton Sr. and Esther Wheaton, she graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 1986. She then moved to Portland, where she worked for Opti-Craft for 15 years. She was a Juneau resident for 23 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Wheaton; grandmother, Hannah Porter; great-aunt, Mary Hotchkiss; nephew, Jeremiah Nashonik Wheaton; uncles, Erick Karlson and Karl Karlson; and cousins, Sabina Karlson, Darrell Karson and Ricky Karlson.

She is survived by her father, Harold Wheaton Sr.; brothers, Harvey Wheaton, Charles Wheaton, Peter John and Harold Wheaton Jr.; sisters, Julie David, Karlene John, Katherine John and her husband, Merle Johnson, Virginia John-Daniels and her husband, Allen Mill; best friend, Stella Howard; nephews, Kevin Wheaton and his wife, Jazmine, Patrick Wheaton, Edward Karlson, Raymond Emel, Brandon Wheaton and Jared Wheaton; nieces, Gail Thompson, Christina Wheaton, and Melody Campbell and her husband, William; and great-nephews and nieces, Alana Wheaton, Kamaile Wheaton, Derrick Vonda-Chase, Davis Harris and Trevor Campbell.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, at the Church of God, on Thunder Mountain.
