Governor at Fairbanks Deployment Ceremony

Chad news

It was Governor Sarah Palin, not the vice presidential candidate, who spoke at a deployment ceremony Thursday at Fort Wainwright.
Palin gave a seven-minute speech at the deployment ceremony for 4,000 soldiers of the Stryker Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division.
One of the solders being deployed is the governor's 19-year-old son, Track.
The ceremony was held on the seventh anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Palin told the soldiers and their friends and family: "You will be there to win. You will see victory."
In Iraq, Track Palin will provide security for his brigade's top officers, an assignment that is expected to take his unit to Diyala, the fourth most violent of Iraq's provinces.
