A 15-year-old East Anchorage High School student was hit by a car shortly after school let out on Wednesday. Officers said Candice Dunn-Kosusnik ran southbound across Northern Lights Boulevard where she was struck by an eastbound Ford Ranger.

The truck was driven by 38-year-old Teresa Turnbull. Dunn-Kosusnik is being hospitalized and is in critical condition.

Police said the driver had the right of way and most likely will not be cited.
