A head-on collision has left one dead and two others in critical condition. The accident took place Monday evening at Mile 99 of the Seward Highway.

Troopers pronounced Seward resident Jeffery McClure, 42, dead at the scene.

Driving the other vehicle was 23-year-old Danielle Jennett. Riding with her was 23-year-old passenger, Riley McVitty. Both victims received treatment at different Anchorage hospitals, where each was placed under critical condition.

McClure's pickup and Jennett's sedan were unsalvageable.
