Payout for Nana Shareholders

The board of directors at NANA Regional Corporation says its giving out a special one-time dividend of $9 per share to commemorate its 35th anniversary. The Alaska Native corporation says dividends will be paid on April 11th to more than 11,400 shareholders. Marie Green, Kasannaaluk, president and CEO of NANA says the 35th year was one of the best in the corporation's history.

The company says it posted record revenues of nearly $1 billion. In November 2007, NANA paid out a record high shareholder dividend of $15 per share. NANA is one of 13 regional corporations formed under the federal Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act to satisfy Native land claims.
