From pancakes to parades, the state's 50th Fourth of July celebration is sure to be one worth remembering.

Below are the schedule of events for Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau.

Anchorage

Time Location Description
8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. On the Park Strip at H Street. Pancake Breakfast
Enjoy an early morning Pancake Breakfast.  Tickets for the Pancake Breakfast will be available at the event for $5.00. Ticket proceeds benefit the Salvation Army.
11:30 a.m.
The Parade will run along 9th Avenue from E Street down to P Street (right along the water) and then back to E Street along 10th Avenue.  Alaska 50th Anniversary & 4th of July Parade
Salute our veterans and active military, view colorful floats, and enjoy our state’s diverse cultures during the Alaska 50th Anniversary & July 4th Parade.
11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. On the Park Strip between E Street and L Street. Family Picnic
Enjoy great entertainment, food and games. Check out the antique cars, fire trucks, police and military displays at our Family Picnic.
1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. On the Delaney Park Strip near E Street.

Kite Day Celebration
Come watch the kites during the annual Kite Day Celebration.

3:00 p.m.
Assemble at the Veterans Memorial Flag, located on the Delaney Park Strip at L Street.

Fairbanks

8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. At Senior Center

Pancake Feed

Santa’s Seniors are always up to their ears in Summer Festival activities, starting with their pancake/sausage breakfast. The cost is $6.
Registration: 8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Race: 10:00 a.m.
Alaska parking lot off Phillips Field Road. 24th annual Independence Day Run 5K

11:00 a.m. At Pioneer Park. Additional parking available at the Carlson Center. Community Independence Day celebration
Live music all day, kid's parade at 2:30 p.m. Dress in costume and decorate your wagon or stroller. Prizes. Hosted by Ann Secrest and Mike Schultz.
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Breakfast at Santa's Senior Center.
Parade at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
Grande Parade
A North Pole community tradition starts at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at Santa's Senior Center. The Grande Parade begins at 11 a.m., starting at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Summer festival activities will be held at North Pole Elementary School from noon to 5 p.m. The theme is Patriotic Santa.

Juneau

Time Location Description
11:00 a.m. Department of Labor building on West Eighth Street.

"A Golden Celebration"

Juneau Fourth of July parade. Details: 790-4444.

11:00 a.m Sandy Beach. Sandcastle Challenge
11:00 a.m. registration begins. Award given at 4 p.m. Details: 586-3552.
12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Douglas Community United Methodist Church. Deep Pit Beef Barbecue Fundraiser
$12 adult, $8 children 5-11, free for children under 4 years. Sandwiches and chips $6. Great Alaska Steamboat Race, 1 p.m., starting at Marine Park. Ends at Sandy Beach at 1:30 p.m. Thunder Mountain Riders and 4H Club pony rides, 1-5 p.m., Savikko Park, Field 1. $5 per ride. With horse demonstrations at the beginning of each hour.
1:30 p.m. Begins on rotary side of the Douglas Bridge. Finish at Douglas Fire Hall. Douglas 2-mile Fun Run
Register 12:30-1:25 p.m. No pre-registration or entry fee. Details: 364-3265. "A Golden Celebration" Douglas Fourth of July parade, 2 p.m., Gastineau Elementary School. Gather at 1:30 p.m. No preregistration or entry fee. Details: www.douglas4thofjuly.com. Hot dog sale, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., in front of the Douglas Fire Hall.
2:30 p.m. Savikko Park, Field 4. Society for Creative Anachronism medieval fighting and dance.

3:00 p.m. St. Ann's Avenue. Final Soapbox Challenge
For ages 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10. Details: 364-3134.
3:30 p.m. Savikko Park, Field 3. Dog Frisbee contest
$5 donation. All dogs must be licensed. Details: 789-0260.
4:00 p.m. In front of the Douglas Fire Hall. "Make & Break: Olde Time Firemens Hose Race,"
Dance, music and other entertainment, 4-9 p.m., Savikko Park, Field 2. With bands Lifted Embrace 4-5 p.m., Avantgarde 5-6 p.m., Lulu and the Aquanets 6-8 p.m., and Mystery Machine 8-9 p.m.
