Fairbanks borough school district officials are looking at changes to how high school football games are handled following last week's brawl at a homecoming game. Among the changes: games may begin at an earlier time for the remainder of the season. There also will be extra security at parking lots, where much of the fighting at Lathrop High School took place Friday night. At one point, a crowd of 200 swarmed police in the parking lot. Smaller fights took place in the stands.

The game between Lathrop and West Valley High School was
suspended with 10 minutes, 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter,
giving West Valley the win at 38-6.
