Chad news

The Alaska Democratic Party named Anchorage school board treasurer Chris Tuck to replace a candidate for state House who has withdrawn from the race. Bronson Frye was the Democratic primary winner in the race to represent the Anchorage Dimond business district. Frye says he pulled out of the race because of travel requirements with his job.

Tuck will face Ronald Jordan in the general election. The seat is currently held by Republican Ralph Samuels, who withdrew after the filing deadline to take a new job.
