Fire Destroys Pioneer Lodge in Willow

A well known lodge in Willow has burnt to the ground.

The fire that destroyed the Pioneer Lodge was put out on Wednesday afternoon. Dispatch received the call at 3:25am on Wednesday. The Deputy fire marshal is currently investigating the case, as the lodge is considered to be a total loss.

Workers say the Pioneer Lodge was an important place for many in Willow, as they hosted regular community luncheons. It was also a popular place for locals and tourists to visit.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
