Students from Benny Benson got a little taste of what life was like on St. Lawrence Island. The trip was part of a four day exploration of Alaska's native cultures where students took part in traditional drumming, dancing, and listened stories from elders.

The funds were made possible by the Alaska School Foundation, which aims to take Anchorage's education to new levels outside the classroom.
