Chad news

Governor Sarah Palin will not be granting a free ride to lawmakers who want to participate in the governor's natural gas pipeline informational presentations next month in Anchorage. House Speaker John Harris and Senate President Lyda Green resounded the governor's statement by stating that the state will not cover travel and lodging expenses.

Harris said money shold not be spent on lawmakers wishing to attend the breifing in Anchorage from May 28-30, when similar discussions will take place at a special legislative session that will begin just one week later in Juneau. This means that most likely lawmakers will dip into their seperate office accounts, if they choose to attend.

The meeting will be devoted to discussion of a gas pipeline, and most likely feature an overview of what Palin's gas line team has worked on thusfar.

A decision on whether to award a license to TransCanada Corp. to build a gas line has been the current major foucs of the administration.
