44-year-old Vonnie Williams has been refused release by Superior Court Judge on Monday. Vonnie has been accused of running a high-volume drug ring in Juneau.

Williams has also been accused by the district attorney of running the drug ring from prison. Williams was denied by Judge Patricia Collins, a request to lower his $75,000 bail and release him to a third-party custodian. Collins suggested that Williams's female custodian was on drugs in the courtroom.

Prosecutors charge that Williams and his co-defendant Aaron Washington led an organized crime syndicate that burgled and cheated money from dozens of people and businesses.

Prosecutors also asserted that Williams's crew was responsible for smuggling pounds of cocaine, and other drugs, into the city of Juneau.
