The Coast Guard has been training and doing research on the Bering Sea coast for about a week. The focus of the mission is mapping ice flows, monitoring vessel traffic, keeping tabs on coastal erosion and to provide a platform for scientists. ABC Alaska News reporter James Sears and photographer Shawn Francis traveled with the coast guard in a modified C-130 aircraft this week, and what they found is quite interesting. (Video Clip)
