PARKS HIGHWAY - Shortly before 3pm this afternoon, on Thursday, a head on collision on the Parks Highway sent 3-people to the hospital with major injuries.

Troopers say that 48-year old Dorthy Dupree , of Willow, was driving north bound in a mini-van when she crossed the center line, striking a Cutlass Oldsmobile being driven by 26-year old Virgina Michell of Wasilla.

Michell's husband, 28-year old Jeremy Christine was a passenger in the vehicle. The collision caused the Parks Highway to be shut down for several hours. All three suffered major injuries and had to be medi-vacd to Providence hospital - while the Parks Highway at mile-67.5 has been reopened.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is continuing.
