A 23-year-old Anchorage woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 6-month-old boy in her care.
Police on Monday arrested Christina Moua (MOO'-ah).
Anchorage Police Lt. Dave Parker says Caiioun Xiong (kie-YOON' shih-ONG') was dropped off for babysitting Friday morning by his parents.
Investigators say they believe Moua shook Caiioun and hit his head, causing life-threatening injuries. The boy was taken to a hospital with head trauma. Life support measures were withdrawn Monday morning and he died.
Moua is to arraigned Tuesday. Her bail is set at $50,000 cash.
