Anchorage Police say that 40 year old Anchorage resident John B. Herring, a white male standing about 6'1” and weighing about 205 lbs and boasting brown hair and brown eyes, has a warrant out for his arrest. APD was contacted by a woman who had been sexually assaulted. She told police that she had been abducted by a male with whom she was aquainted in the area of 81st and Lake Otis Parkway. She was bound, placed in Herring's vehicle, and then taken to a location on the hillside where he sexually assaulted her. Police say that she was then able to get away from him and was picked up by a motorist who helped her call the police. Herring was reportadly driving a black Ford F350 pickup with construction company logos on the doors. Anyone with information is asked to Call APD at 786-8900 or Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP.
