Strike Quelled, Wild To Play Sunday

Alaska Wild latest information:

We would like to apologize for the recent reports about the team. There will not be a player strike. The game is still on for Sunday May 11th, as the Alaska Wild will play the Louisiana Swashbucklers. There will be changes in the organization, details to be announced soon (Check out the Alaska Wild Coaches on 96.3 fm the Wolf this Wednesday). The AK Wild would like to thank the fans in and around the city of Anchorage for the love and support.

The 4-2 Wild is riding high with a four-home game winning streak this season. GO Wild on Sunday, May 11th, when the AK Wild battles the 6-0 Louisiana Swashbucklers. It's a Wild Mother's Day home game at the Sullivan Arena (Mom's Gone Wild with a 2 for 1 Clubhouse seat special only through Ticketmaster and Ticketmaster locations). Pre-game at 2:30pm AST and kickoff is at 3:00pm AST.

The Alaska Wild is part of the Intense Football League (IFL). Founded in 2003, the IFL consists of a record nine professional indoor football teams, three of which are located outside of Texas: the Louisiana Swashbucklers of Lake Charles, the Alaska Wild of Anchorage, Alaska and the Fairbanks Grizzlies of Fairbanks, Alaska. Texas teams include the CenTex Barracudas of Belton, Corpus Christi Hammerheads, Odessa Roughnecks, San Angelo Stampede Express, Katy Ruff Riders, and Frisco Thunder.
